IOI Client Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is important to IOI Payroll Services, Inc. (IOI). We strive to keep your personal information confidential. The policy described below addresses how we handle your personal information. From time to time, we may change this Privacy Policy. Protection of Information
IOI uses care to protect your personally identifiable information. IOI has implemented physical and electronic safeguards intended to prevent unauthorized access to client information. We continually assess new technology to improve or update our information security systems. However, no transmission over the internet via e-mail can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent secure until it reaches IOI. Once IOI receives your electronic transmission or other information, we follow strict procedures to ensure its security and confidentiality. IOI employees are advised that client information is confidential and that they are bound by internal policies and procedures to not divulge client information without proper approval. Disciplinary action for failure to follow our policies and procedures could include termination of the employee.
Clients using the IOIPay service will be issued a private password or PIN and are required to change it periodically to access their account. The client is ultimately responsible for protecting the secrecy of any such access code.
IOI does not sell, license, or otherwise disclose your information except as described in this policy.
Sharing of Information
IOI reserves the right to share client information with any company that it owns or controls, or with which there is a common ownership with a parent company if the information is required to provide a product or service you have requested or to provide you an opportunity to utilize products or services offered by such other companies. IOI may, also, share client information with non-affiliated third parties that perform services in connection with the servicing or processing of products or services that IOI provides. Information will be shared with such companies to support your relationship with and services provided through IOI. IOI will make certain that any such third parties that perform services, in connection with servicing or processing of products or services that IOI provides, are contractually bound to keep information provided to them confidential, and to only use the information for the purposes of providing the services IOI has requested they provide. Examples of such third party companies that might provide such services include banks and payment processing centers.
IOI may, also, disclose information in cases where it has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) protect or defend IOI's rights or property; or (c) enforce IOI's web site terms and conditions of use.
Further, IOI may share information with third party entities for services the client has requested.
Accuracy of Information
The client is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information required by IOI to provide services requested. You shall have access to relevant information through account statements, by telephone or by on-line access. It is your responsibility to advise IOI if any information is ever inaccurate, incomplete or outdated.
Former Client Status
This policy statement shall continue to apply to your information even if you are no longer an IOI client.
